Community Projects

The Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport funded a report to explore the economic impact of tourism associated with the Marmora pumped storage project. A-FRAME CONTENT AND MARKETING was awarded the work of developing this report in February 2014.

The objective of the study was to explore the development of tourism assets to compliment the Marmora Pumped Storage project and the potential economic impact these assets might bring to the community and province.

The final product is the 60-page report, Economic Impact of Tourism Development Associated with Marmora Pumped Storage, the centrepiece of which is the Recharge Marmora Tourism Plan, a three-tier development approach. This tiered implementation approach encourages long-term budgeting for sustainable growth and flexibility.

Marmora SnoFest

I became Chair of the Marmora SnoFest Association in November of 2013 and continued in that position until early 2015.

  • The 2014 event raised $1,602 for the local playground equipment fund.

Two Birds One Stone

Leigh Nash and I decided to throw a party with beer at the forefront. We also wanted to see if we could make enough money to donate some back to the community. And thus, Two Birds One Stone was born.

Oktoberfest in Marmora was our first event. We broke even and managed to raise $160 for the Marmora Food Bank. We drank all the beer, ate all the food and sang all the songs.

I'll keep you posted with any future party plans.
